Traditionaly, the yachting industry consists of a „summer season” in the Mediterranean Sea (from May to October) and a „Caribbean Season” (from November to April), although recently, posibilities are limitless, lots of yachts navigating around the world. Anywhere in the world, whether in oceans or seas, you could fiind yourself navigating.

You will have to prepare an excelent Resume (C.V.) in order to ensure yourself the much wanted job and you will also be required to own a valid passport. Furthermore, you will need a STCW 95 IMOBasic Certificate and an ENG1 medical certificate in accordance with international association of marine medicine standards, to certify that you are medically fit to work on yachts.

3.How to prepare for an interview?

Things are moving very fast in the yachting industry, often with managers, commanders or recruiters looking for crew members, expecting you to have no hesitation regarding you departure. Because departures could happen in a few days time or even the next day, in the event of an interview, be prepared to be asked to board immediately. Should it take you too long to think about it, you may miss boarding. As with any interview, first impressions are extremely important. A neat appearance, a professional manner of presenting yourself and a positive attitude are key elements in ensuring a position on board a yacht. Our recommendation is for your outfit to be office, make-up as simple as possible, a neat manicure and to avoid wearing sunglasses. Make sure you are on time and that you have switched your cellphone to Silent. Listen to the interviewer and show interest in the position he / she is presenting by asking questions about, your duties, the crew on board, the itinerary, etc. Be honest about your abilities and positive about your experience.

I was born in 1987 and graduated from the Faculty of Law. In 2005, at the age of 17, I began my stewardess career, celebrating my coming of age aboard the yacht.

Although it was my first work experience, I quickly decided to embark for a period of three months. I could not spend more time on the boat because I was still in high school, so, at first I choose to spend my summer vacation on the yacht.

Discipline and perseverance helped me to finish the initial 3 months contract. During this time I had the opportunity to learn the second foreign language. That’s when I began to love navigating on the sea, and I became interested in knowing the job better.

After finishing high school, I enrolled in college without ever giving up the passion I just discovered. So, I continued to work as a yacht stewardess for 6 months in the summer, and to study for college for the rest of the year. After 4 years, I finished my studies and I realized that I really loved what I was doing, so I dedicated myself to the stewardess career that proved to be successful.

At the age of 23, I advanced to the position of Chief stewardess, which I held until 2018. I started working as a chief stewardess on the private yacht of an international fashion designer, where I worked for 2 years, continuing on this position aboard other yachts ranging in size from 35m to 70m. During this time, I worked for guests from all over the world, gaining the necessary experience to pursue this career at a professional level.
As I wanted to become a real professional, I attended a senior stewardess course in France and in Italy, and now I think it is time I shared with you the knowledge I have gained during my 14 years of yachting.

I was born in 1974 and graduated from the Faculty of Law. During 1994-2001 I worked in ROMANIA as a chartering customs officer and as an accountant. I enjoyed what I was doing, but I felt I could not develop professionally the way I wanted it to.
I wanted to make a change, so that in 2001 I had the opportunity to experience the yacht stewardess career. I started as a stewardess, then I advanced as chief stewardess after a few years. Currently I am Freelancer Chef in Yachting and Event Organizer.

During all these years, I have worked for various public figures, VIPs, businessmen and politicians from various countries. The ability to share with others the knowledge I have gained during the 18 years of yachting recommend me for the trainer position.
